The Countess of Oxford and Asquith
Article Abstract:
Anne Palairet, the Countess of Oxford and Asquith, was born in Paris, France, and spent part of her childhood in Ireland. She also spent some time in Japan, China and Romania, and then studied at St Anne's College, Oxford, England. After marrying in Aug 1947, she lived in a number of different places across the world, including St Lucia and the Seychelles. She had a strong love of literature, and was highly respected for her understanding of the needs of others.

The treatment of women with suspected breast cancer is improving all the time, and is now much more sensitive to their feelings. Needle biopsy replaces surgical procedures which would have been required in the past, and patients are given a wide range of information about issues such as post-op care. Treatment is generally painless, and there are many support groups to help women receiving radiotherapy.
