The Right Rev Robin Woods
Article Abstract:
Priest Robert Woods served for 23 years as Archbishop of Sheffield, Dean of Windsor and Bishop of Worcester. He acknowledged that there were problems within the Church of England, and rose to the challenge of addressing them, even at the expense of his personal popularity. He gained a strong reputation for being hard-working, efficient and having a deep pastoral concern for individuals. After retirement, he worked for the Student Christian Movement and the Order of St Michael and St George.
