The complete guide to the Greek islands
Article Abstract:
Travelling independently is a very good way to see the Greek islands, as long as you are willing to be flexible, as Greek ferry timetables tend to be very unreliable. English is spoken everywhere, so there are no problems with booking ferry tickets, ordering meals or finding accommodation. There is plenty of accommodation available in many different price ranges, apart from during the peak times of Easter and late Jul and Aug. The busiest islands are generally the ones with airports, such as Kos and Rhodes.
