The price of separation from the Good Society
Article Abstract:
Modern society tends to divide people up into individual niches, each of which take no account of the values and interests of others. This is the opposite of a good society, in which there is strong emphasis on integration and togetherness. The best societies are those which offer a concept of citizenship to others, see citizens as a whole group and brings together what they have in common with what they have the right to hold for themselves. The modern market economy tends to work directly against this.
