The real revolution is in London
Article Abstract:
The UK government is shortly to publish a Green Paper which will suggest that a mayor for London, England, is directly elected by the city's 5 million voters. This development will in the long term prove more significant than Welsh and Scottish devolution, especially as London has more voters than Wales and Scotland together. The mayor of London and the city's elected assembly will have a form of legitimacy which has never been seen before in the UK. The mayor will probably be a member of a political party, but will not have to justify his or her actions to a political caucus.

Beautiful or not, we should never surrender to the image police
Article Abstract:
It is important to recognize that true beauty is not merely a matter of having the right kind of skin, symmetrical features or particular hair, eye or lip types. Many people place great emphasis on complying with standard definitions of beauty, but in fact beauty is just as much a matter of feel as of appearance. There are a number of examples of people who are a long way from meeting standard definitions of beauty but who have gained considerable admiration.
