The rogue traders of the film industry
Article Abstract:
The relaunch of William Morris Agency has introduced an element of strong competition in the talent agency sector in the UK, particularly in relation to International Creative Management, one of the most powerful talent agencies in the world. The relaunch, and especially the arrival in the UK of Charles Finch to run William Morris Agency's office in London, England, has made other talent agencies review their activities. International Creative Management is particularly concerned about William Morris Agency's decision to break a long-standing agreement between the two agencies not to take each other's clients.

Highway robbery on the M6
Article Abstract:
Smuggling of alcohol and tobacco is a particular problem in the UK in the pre-Christmas period. For this reason, the government launched Operation Mistletoe, which involves raids on pubs, clubs and shops and spot checks of vehicles, in early Oct 1998. When undertaking spot checks, police look out particularly for vehicles that appear to be very heavily loaded. Smuggling of tobacco and alcohol has now become an extremely organized crime, and smugglers are becoming increasingly talented at avoiding detection.
