They've kept the Red Flag flying here
Article Abstract:
Jack Dash House is a dignified public building behind the tower of Canary Wharf, Docklands, designed in a Modern tradition by Chassay Architects for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is named after the Communist dockers' leader known as the 'Red Napoleon' in the Fifties and Sixties. The London Docklands Development Corporation (LDDC) commissioned it on behalf of the borough but to keep costs down used a design-and-build scheme. The drum-shaped building that houses the council chamber is situated between small-scale housing and large-scale commercial developments.

Article Abstract:
The British Library, like its counterpart in Paris, France, has attracted considerable controversy. However, unlike the French national library, the British Library is actually a very attractive building inside. When it is finished, it will be one of the most important civic spaces in the UK. The spaces and rooms have a strong tactile quality, and the building will become to be highly respected by the general public.

The Nation's Village Hall
Article Abstract:
The Royal Albert Hall in London, England, opened in 1871, has been associated with some significant events in British history. It is generally viewed fondly by ordinary people, and has almost come to be the 'village hall' of the UK. It holds a particular place in British culture, even though it is not a particularly attractive building and lacks many modern facilities.
