This is no time to go sour on New Labour
Article Abstract:
Some voters are becoming increasingly unhappy with the UK Labour party, especially with party leader Tony Blair's focus on himself. Labour activists fear that some potential supporters may decide against voting for the party in the forthcoming general election, while others may simply not vote at all. It is important that voters realise that Tony Blair is currently focusing on winning the election, and that a future Labour government would not take the same stance as the Labour party is now taking. Tony Blair as Prime Minister would take action to transform society.

Don't let them tell you it doesn't matter who wins
Article Abstract:
Many middle and upper class Britons with left-wing tendencies have for a long time been critical of the Conservative government. However, they seem strangely reluctant to become involved in politics now that a Labour victory in the forthcoming general election seems certain. They dislike Labour party leader Tony Blair, and are expressing very cynical views about politics as a whole. They fail to realise that a change of government would have a very significant impact in the UK. In particular, there will be clear benefits for many poor people.

You can't legislate for happiness, but you can try
Article Abstract:
Ordinary people generally have little interest in politics, and their happiness is not really affected by the actions of the government. However, there are ways in which the UK government could make people happier. Most importantly, it could tackle poverty, as this is the main cause of unhappiness. It could also be more ambitious about boosting public pleasure and pride. It can do little about personal happiness, but could address problems such as unreliable public transport and crumbling school buildings.
