UK: CAMBRIDGE SILICON CONFIRMS FLOTATION PLANS

Cambridge Silicon Radio has confirmed plans to raise US$ 200mn via an initial public offering during 2000. The Cambridge-based company, which designs semiconductors based on Bluetooth technology, will use the money raised to expand its workforce and build its capacity. Cambridge Silicon already has around US$ 200mn in private funding from venture capital companies 3i, Amadeus and Intel.
