Watch out: you've got evil mail
Article Abstract:
It has become increasingly common for computer viruses to be spread through electronic mail systems. Most recently, the Melissa virus was able to exploit flaws in newer versions of Microsoft's Word and Outlook Express electronic mail programs. These macro-viruses have highlighted the negative aspects of Microsoft's domination of both business software and home PCs. Microsoft acknowledges that its programs are vulnerable to viruses, but argues that this is the price that must be paid for high levels of functionality.

The man who can smash Windows
Article Abstract:
Linus Torvalds, who wrote the Linux operating system and continues to monitor its development, states that he has made no money at all out of Linux, which is available to anybody free of charge. He claims that it was never his intention to use Linux to compete with Microsoft, and that any damage caused to Microsoft has merely been because Microsoft's products were not good enough. He does not want anybody in particular to be able to control Linux, and this is why he released the source code.
