Wave goodbye to branch meetings and say hello to virtual Labour
Article Abstract:
The UK Labour party must prepare for the 21st century by presenting a new vision of what it means to be a party member. There must be a strong platform at local level on which to base Labour's activities if it is to continue developing successfully in the 21st century. It will be necessary to develop new ways of campaigning, and party members will have to become more effective at encouraging others to join. A suitable starting point would be the creation of a registered Labour supporters' scheme.

The only way to be radical is to be prudent
Article Abstract:
It is wrong to assume that the UK government cannot be both prudent and radical. Asserting that prudence is incompatible with radicalism implies that radicalism is imprudent, and indicates that the left wing should be characterized by its willingness to take risks with the economy. This is certainly not the case under the current Labour administration. Indeed, history suggests that it is impossible for a government to be radical if it takes risks with the economy.
