Secretive world of landlady who is richer than the Queen
Article Abstract:
Clarice Pears, whose net worth is greater than that of the Queen, is the head of a very secretive family. It is possible that the family owns as many as 40,000 properties across the UK through Bankway Properties, one of a large network of companies ultimately controlled by William Pears Family Holdings. The company has come into conflict with residents of Hylda Court in north London, England, after having failed to make repairs and having demanded large rent rises.

The long roads to peace in Ulster are marked 'Shankill' and 'Falls.'
Article Abstract:
The Protestant Shankill Road and the Catholic Falls Road in Belfast, Northern Ireland, highlight the gulf that still exists between the two communities, despite the peace process. Shopkeepers on the Shankill Road believe that Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble was right in refusing to participate in the Northern Ireland Assembly. On the Falls Road, it is widely believed that the Catholics hold out more hope for peace than the Protestants.
