Where dharma is karma
Article Abstract:
It is a long journey from Kathmandu, Nepal, to ancient Lumbini, Nepal, where the Buddha was born 2,500 years ago. There is nothing at the site except the tree under which the Buddha is said to have been born, the pool in which he was bathed, the excavated remains of ancient stupas and temples and a pillar of King Ashoka. Those who wish to trace the Buddha's life also visit a tree in the town of Bodhgaya, India, where he attained enlightenment, along with Samath, India, where preached his first sermon, and Kushinagar, India, where he died.

Where there's smoke
Article Abstract:
The roots of Cuban dance stretch back to the 15th century, with the original salsa probably having been danced at slave celebrations or at informal Sunday gatherings. The Cuban dance tradition has been strongly influenced by both African rhythms and Spanish melodies. A new musical sound emerged from east Cuba in the early years of the 19th century, when local people were revolting against the Spanish. This sound, known as son, influenced every other musical form on Cuba. Music and dance are an integral part of everyday life in Cuba.

On the plains where the whirlwinds roam
Article Abstract:
The state of Texas is attracting a growing number of visitors who wish to view its spectacular tornadoes. Serious storm-chasers spend many hours every day travelling long distances just because there is a possibility that they may experience extreme weather conditions. A tornado can reach speeds of up to 300mph, and can cause considerable damage to people and to property. Tornadoes are also associated with very large hailstones and flash flooding.
