The disease that lurks in the dust
Article Abstract:
There are a number of ways in which the distressing symptoms of asthma, which now afflict 3.4 million people in the UK, can be reduced or even completely eliminated. It is important to try to reduce house-dust mites, which are one of the most common causes of asthma. This can be achieved through using a high-filtration vacuum cleaner and damp-dusting surfaces regularly. The whole house should be aired regularly, and unnecessary furnishings removed. In the garden, insect-pollinated plants should be preferred to wind-pollinated ones.

The last star in the firmament
Article Abstract:
Elizabeth Taylor, who is currently celebrating her 65th birthday, has never been a particularly good actress, although she had an extremely powerful presence in many of her films. It does not really matter that she is not a good actress, as she has always been a star, rather than an actress. She is almost the only person remaining alive who became a Hollywood star in the 1950s, and has managed to retain her star status, even though she has not worked for many years.
