Yes, Bruce does give a XXXX for art
Article Abstract:
The Australian government is hoping that the new 'Creative Nation' programme, which will considerably increase funding for the arts, will abolish the image of Australia as a cultural wilderness. However, the country's international profile the arts world may actually be more positive than its government believes, and any views which mock Australian culture are generally only expressed by the ignorant and bigoted. In fact, Australia is already starting to be admired for its cultural self-confidence and for the fact that it has developed a separate cultural identity from the UK.

And the crowd went wild
Article Abstract:
Film director Quentin Tarantino has attracted considerable attention from fans during his publicity tour of the UK. Many thousands of copies of his screenplays have been sold, and he has become extremely well-known even though he has directed only two films, 'Reservoir Dogs' and 'Pulp Fiction.' He has achieved a high level of recognition partly because of his unusual name and partly because his films have the stylistic recognisability of a logo.

Fugitives from the book police
Article Abstract:
A movement against white male writers seems to be sweeping across universities in the US, where the focus is now on non-white, non-male writers. According to professor of literature Harold Bloom, this excessive concern with social justice is causing all aesthetic and many intellectual standards to be abandoned. A similar trend seems to be developing in the UK as publishers fall victim to excessive concern about political correctness.
