Cliff Wallis and Martha Kostuch, winners of the 2003 Douglas H. Pimlott award are seriously working towards protecting Alberta's wild spaces and prairie ecosystems. Cliff feels that it is important to get out into nature to relax and rejuvenate your senses and to also make time for friends and family.

There are creative means to actively participate in the environmental movement: waterway and shoreline clean-ups, fund-raising activities, information campaigns and other personal projects. One can create numerous opportunities for involvement in the cause.
