Apple debuts Classic color, and color to go too

Apple Computer Inc is introducing the Macintosh Color Classic, featuring a Sony Trinitron color display, and an expected price of $1,300. The PowerBook laptop computers also will feature color displays, with the 165c model selling for about $3,300 and the 185c for about $4,000.

Columbus on discs

The Archivo General de Indias in Seville, Spain, is converting rare historical papers from the Christopher Columbus era to optical discs. The discs will allow unlimited study by scholars, without wear and tear on the original documents.
