Cell migration in the forebrain
Article Abstract:
The cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying each of the types of migrations are reviewed. In addition, the way emerging concepts in neuronal migration are reshaping the understanding of the forebrain development in normal and pathological situations is also discussed.

Electrical synapses in the mammalian brain
Article Abstract:
Evidence reveal that electrical synapses function throughout the mammalian brain and describe pertinent studies of nonmammalian and non neuronal gap junctions. All these synapses require the gap junction protein connexin36 (Cx36) for robust electrical coupling.

Neuron-glial interactions in blood-brain barrier formation
Article Abstract:
The article presents the neuron-glial interactions in blood brain barrier of invertebrates and vertebrates and evolvement into an endothelial barrier system. More research is suggested for the blood brain barrier in treatment of central nervous system diseases.
