Climate-evolution link weakens: paleontology
Article Abstract:
Paleontologist John Alroy of the Smithsonian was surprised to find that only three short intervals of human evolutionary change coincided with climatic events or eras. The counterintuitive results from his longitudinal study of mammal diversity are analyzed.

Tiny comets' spots called artifacts
Article Abstract:
New research contradicts space physicist Louis Frank's claim that comets about the size of houses pelt the Earth's atmosphere 30,000 times a day. The spots he pointed out on photographs of Earth's upper atmosphere are likely to be instrument artifacts.
