Competitive strategy in technological knowledge imitation
Article Abstract:
Technological imitation is the act of reproducing an innovator's technology while introducing modifications and adding gradual improvements that perfect the correct functioning of the technology and contribute to adapting it to the differentiated demands of diverse market segments. It has been found that external monitoring and imitation of technology has increasingly become a key factor in a competitive corporate strategy. To succeed in imitating a technology, an imitator firm must maintain a wide knowledge base and access to complimentary assets.

Innovation, entrepreneurship and the firm: a post-Schumpeterian approach
Article Abstract:
Economist Joseph A. Schumpeter is commonly acknowledged to be the theorist who emphasized above all others in the 20th century that entrepreneurship and innovation were key to the understanding of the dynamics of industrial and economic change in the capitalist economic system. His perspective has thus provided the basis of many studies of organizational innovation and entrepreneurship. The Schumpeterian and neo-Schumpeterian approaches may provide significant insights to entrepreneurship and innovation but feature some major deficiencies.
