Article Abstract:
Difficulties in testing moose response to presence of predators, as cued by wolf urine or dung, was surmounted by researchers wearing moose costumes. This system enabled the researchers to approach a herd or an individual moose without frightening it, deposit samples of wolf urine or dung and observe for reactions.
