Effective Mass and Color Change
Article Abstract:
A report shows how high-transition temperature superconductors obey a sum rule in a new way. The studies discuss optical conductivity in terms of electrical absorptive response to weak electromagnetic fields. The research factors in spectral weight and electrons per unit volume in solids. Low frequencies are associated with the conduction band, and high frequencies will assist in creating conductivity. Various mathematical formulae are examined.

Flux lattice melting
Article Abstract:
Researchers have discovered that the flux lattices in high-transition temperature superconductors can melt into a flux liquid at a transition temperature below T(sub-c). The technique used in the experiment is discussed.
