Gamma-ray bursts come home
Article Abstract:
The detection of a gamma ray-burst in Jan 1999 by the Burst and Transient Source Experiment allowed astronomers to identify the exact position of its source. The American Association of Variable Star Observers is developing a network of professional and amateur astronomers to observe future gamma-ray bursts.
