IVHS: the invisible resolution
Article Abstract:
Intelligent vehicle highway system technology presents an alternative way of transportation management. The system aims to bolster highway efficiency and reduce congestion and air pollution. The Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act has increased its funding of the IVHS because of its probable positive environmental benefits but critics express their reservations about the system's effectiveness. They contend that the need to address problems of expertise, lack of standards and social issues pose constraints for the system.

Wood working
Article Abstract:
Engineered glulam wood is a very appropriate construction material for light commercial structures due to its appealing appearance, lower cost and greater ease of construction. These qualities of wood have attracted engineers to take timber as a building material and this also allows for lower labor costs. A church dome, a pair of sports facilities in California and an outlet store of a factory have been constructed by glulam wood so far. Wood can act as a complementary material for steel.
