Making dispute review boards work
Article Abstract:
Dispute review boards are valuable in the construction industry where conflict-based litigation is undermining professional satisfaction, profitability and cost-effectiveness. However, some rules should be included in the initial contract to support the success of the boards. These rules are that the board members should be largely fixed for the contract term, the selection process should avoid the appearance of and actual bias, disputes covered by the board should be clarified and the findings should be admissible in court.

Making teamwork work
Article Abstract:
Teamwork ensures success when group members provide the necessary support, skills, attitudes and commitment to their collective endeavor and to each other. Members should cooperate rather than compete and the effectiveness of their interaction will reflect their production quality. Persons should also recognize each other's individuality and make these differences work to their advantage instead of letting them impede the group's progress.
