New satellite puts Japan in top tier of remote sensing
Article Abstract:
The Aug 1996 launch of the ADEOS satellite puts Japan's National Space Development Agency in the forefront of space-based research as well as rocket development. Experiments aboard the 3-year mission include the Ocean Color and Temperature Sensor and the Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer.
