Article Abstract:
The Grotte Chauvet is already changing prevailing notions of cave paintings. It contains many depicted predators, which are not present in other known caves, and the presence of child footprints suggest that the art involved the whole community, and was not directly related to hunting.

The National Center for Supercomputing Applications has developed a World Wide Web site called Biology Workshop. Using Java technology, the site provides a single point of access to multiple databases and software tools commonly used by biologists to analyze new DNA sequences.
