Did galaxies like our own start life in chains?
Article Abstract:
A team of astronomers led by Lennox Cowie believe that the chain galaxies in Hubble Space Telescope images of deep space are protogalaxies that are in the process of formation. Other astronomers dispute their theory that chain galaxies are the ancestors of present-day galaxies.

Ancient galaxy walls go up; will theories tumble down?
Article Abstract:
Astronomers have found evidence that giant walls of galaxies existed in the early universe and that giant groupings of galaxies existed billions of years earlier than previously theorized. Redshift observations were used to identify the structures.
