Synergistic approach allows virtual prototyping
Article Abstract:
Innovative Business Solutions (INBIS) Fluid Gravity (FG) has been established as a joint venture between INBIS Technology Ltd and Fluid Gravity Engineering of Liphook for the purpose of predicting sub-sonic and trans-sonic flow fields across plane wings and other structures. INBIS FG performs the wing load analysis and the basic enabling aerodynamics deriving wing flutter from which the analytical team develops the wing design. INBIS FG also offers advice in fluid dynamics and computational physics for the simulation of air flows across different structures.

Virtual assembly
Article Abstract:
Augmented reality (AR) combines virtual-reality viewers or other visual displays with positional trackers and computers to provide real-time assembly instruction. AR allows users to view the real world along with an additional overlay of information that appears attached to the workpiece. A prototype system of the technology consists of a video camera on a tripod connected to a Silicon Graphics workstation with a flat-panel color monitor. The system is being tested on airplane manufacturing.
