Paleontologist Paul Sereno's contribution to the field of paleontology includes the discovery of several new species of dinosaurs that include the Carcharodontosaurus, Afrovenator, a still unnamed sauropod, Herreresaurus and Eoraptor. He also helped in identifying the Deltadromeus agilis.

Cooling: an attractive idea

Researchers at the Ames Lab and Astronautics Corp are developing refrigerators and air conditioners which use magnetic refrigerants. Magnetic refrigerants heat up when magnetized and cool down when demagnetized. Among the materials being considered are gadolinium, silicon and germanium.
