The Standing Committee on the Environment and Sustainable Development held a television forum on the state of Canadian wildlife from Apr. 25-27, 1995. Topics discussed included federal endangered species legislation, lead poisoning of waterfowl, and poaching and illegal trade.

Night moves: scientists are wondering if this Okanagan Valley visitor is here to stay
Article Abstract:
A Hypsiglena torquata night snake was found in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, only the fourth found in Canada. The snake is a example of a small population that needs to be protected without attracting the attention of unscrupulous collectors.
