Liberalism without transcendence
Article Abstract:
The concept of liberalism expounded by John Hallowell in his 1943 study is founded on a combination of two distinct elements. First, Hallowell believes in the superiority of the will as seen in the autonomous individual. Furthermore, these autonomous wills are freely joined together due to a common belief in moral truths. However, there is a decline in the ability of reason to discover transcendent truths and a corresponding reduction in the ability of individuals to look for a basis for real community.

Christians in the academy: overcoming the silence
Article Abstract:
The absence of vocal proponents for Christianity in schools and universities is very much evident. There is a general feeling of hostility towards Christianity even in other institutions such as the courts, media and the entertainment industry. Therefore, Christians, both in schools and professionals, must break this silence by working together to emphasize Christianity in the academe, reasoning out that this should be permitted if tolerance, openness, diversity and multiculturalism are to be followed.

Government, morality and the family
Article Abstract:
The government does have a role to play in restoring morality to public life. This role should not reflect the views of government held by either religious fanatics of libertarian lunatics, but should simply strive to guarantee that institutions that support moral growth remain strong. This involves supporting the traditional family structure, guaranteeing some degree of moral education in the schools and giving parents flexible choices in the education of their children.
