Plotting the organization; the embedded narrative as a construct for studying change
Article Abstract:
Issues are discussed regarding the continuing problem in organizational disourse of needing to interpret a discourse in relation to its context. The literary form of the embedded narrative is used as an approach, and this construct also reveals the complex dynamics of organizational change. The data are from a 12-month ethnographic study of a think tank in Silicon Valley.
