Technology assessment as guidance to government management of new technologies in developing countries
Article Abstract:
An appreciation of technology assessment (TA) as a vehicle for ethical economic competitiveness was designed into a primer and workbook which government leaders, planners, business leaders and researchers can use to evaluate the implications of a specific technology on society. The workbook and primer evaluates a technology as to its social, environmental and economic effects, identifies opportunities and alternatives and identifies the risks for stakeholders.
