A behavioral model for Ukrainian organized crime groups
Article Abstract:
Ukrainian organized crime groups behavioral model is like any other social organization with strict norms and standards, where customs and rules determine the infrastructure, organization and leadership, and methods of criminal activity unique to Ukraine. A case study of one organized criminal group to find the nature of group dynamics and adherence to traditions like the 'thieves idea' is discussed.

Organized crime as a threat to human rights, democracy and the rule of law is on the agenda of the Council of Europe since the 1980s period. As the nature of crime changes and as new threats emerge, policies against crime would therefore need to be adjusted.
