A comparison sample validation of "Your Workplace": an instrument to measure perceived alcohol support and consequences from the work environment
Article Abstract:
The psychometric characteristics of Your Workplace (YWP), a tool for measuring perceived influence of workplace norms and attitudes on alcohol consumption and the experience of negative effects, were studied. Internal consistency and concurrent relationships between measures of general social support, alcohol specific support and alcohol consumption were studied. Findings showed that YWP scales have sufficient internal consistency reliability. Correlations between YWP scales and concurrent measures of alcohol consumption were among the strongest observed.
