A regulatory focus model of self-evaluation
Article Abstract:
A regulatory focus model which argues that a promotion or prevention focus results in self-esteem or self-certainty respectively in self-evaluation is verified. The findings show that the criteria of regulatory focus suitably direct the strength of self-evaluation goals and individuals' reactions to goal failure.

The self-protective and undermining effects of attributional ambiguity
Article Abstract:
The results from experimental assessment for the self-protective and undermining effects of attributional ambiguity of stigmatized individuals are presented. The stigmatized participants are found to be cushioned against negative feedback but undermining the well-being effects of positive feedback.

Temporal self-appraisal and attributional focus
Article Abstract:
The degree to which differences in attributional focus influence feelings of closeness to positive life events is tested. It is revealed that participants used the content of retrieved attributions in deriving their temporal judgment.
