A social network analysis of Jemaah Islamiyah: The applications to counterterrorism and intelligence
Article Abstract:
A social network analysis of the Jemmaah Islamiyah cell that engineered the Bali bombings in 2002 is presented. A potential framework for the intelligence analysis of terrorist cells is provided and this could help in the understanding of the communication and structure of such cells as well as assist in predicting the likely outcomes of terrorist cells when used in real-time intelligence analysis.

The CNU method reduces the risk of harm to the victims, increases the chances of their safe release, and enhances the likelihood of a successful apprehension of the kidnappers.
