A timely partnership: Sociology and health services research
Article Abstract:
An alliance between sociology and Health Services Research is called for on the grounds that such a union could be mutually beneficial. While sociology is primarily concerned with the systematic study of society, Health Services Research focuses on social and economic implications of health care. It is argued that the latter provides the data which form the basis for sociological theories.
