Article Abstract:
This article examines the effectiveness of substance abuse prevention programs that are included in the school curriculum and incorporate changes in the social environment. Findings indicate that although social environment changes from interventions like parent training or community programs can be effective, they add little benefit when combined with curriculum-based approaches.
