Decomposing the implicit self-concept: The relative influence of semantic meaning and valence on attribute self-association
Article Abstract:
Four studies, which assess the extent to which self-associations are premised on semantic meaning and valence, are presented. The results of the studies generally suggest that although both valence and semantic meaning contribute to the strength of association between attributes and the self, semantic meaning is the primary basis of association in the implicit self-concept.

Approaching and avoiding Linda: motor signals influence the conjunction fallacy
Article Abstract:
In two experiments, using different conjunction problems, participants who engaged in avoidance motor actions were significantly more likely to commit conjunction errors than participants who engaged either in approach or no motor actions. The findings suggest that enhanced heuristic processing does not necessarily lead to an increase in conjunction error.

The effects of an elderly stereotype prime on reaching and grasping actions
Article Abstract:
The effects of prime do not influence the ballistic movements themselves. This research helps to reconcile social and cognitive neuropsychological accounts concerning the effects of a stereotype prime on simple actions and provides a new avenue for exploring the effects of a social prime on motor action
