Gender differences in information technology usage: A U.S.-Japan comparison
Article Abstract:
Differences in men and women's use of computers and the Internet in the United States and Japan and the gender gap that has changed over time is examined. The results indicate that there is gender differences in computer and the Internet usage in both the countries during the mid 1990s period, had disappeared from the U.S. by the year 2001, but persisted in Japan.

Cowboys and schoolteachers: Gender in romance novels, secular and Christian
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to determine how romance novels differently construct gender and family roles for Christian and secular readership. It is found that secular men are depicted as overwhelmingly strong, economically and physically, but that this strength is frequently overcome by the emotional strength of the heroine, who tames them.

"Tuck in that shirt!": Race, class, gender, and discipline in an urban school
Article Abstract:
The assumptions guiding bodily discipline differed for different groups of students are examined. The importance of viewing race, class, and gender in schools simultaneously and the problems associated with disciplinary reform in education is discussed.
