This article examines how Osama bin Laden developed his terrorist strategies. The author, exploring whether bin Laden is just an evil person or a legitimate adversary with a well planned strategy, discusses how his role in the Soviet-Afghanistan war and his studies of Mao's guerrilla warfare strategies shaped his own Jihad warfare strategy.
