Reclaiming humanity for asylum-seekers: A social work response
Article Abstract:
Social work with refugees and asylum-seekers is confronted with new social policies that challenge fundamentally its humanitarian and espoused human rights stance. Social work requires a broad holistic and community-based approach, working collaboratively with others and the international domain provides opportunities for social workers to condemn policies and practices that are contrary to the profession's mission.

Children's rights: a challenge for social work
Article Abstract:
The risks that can accompany a human rights approach and particularly a children's rights approach to social work are highlighted. The question of how best these rights can be realized in different contexts while respecting the rights of others involved is examined.
