Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson, the chief of a $9 billion-a-year Virgin Group, is building Virgin Galactic, the world's first off-the-planet private airplane giving a two-hour flight experience to an apex beyond Earth's atmosphere. The project, which costs $121.5 million, would offer affordable private space travel and enable people to go into orbit and on the moon.

George Aldrich, master sniffer of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration at White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico smells every object that US astronauts take into space. Even a little bit of air pollution can turn into a major problem in the cramped quarters of a space vehicle.
