'Same race' adoption policy: anti-racism or racism?
Article Abstract:
'Same race' adoption policies in the United Kingdom and the United States breed racial antagonism and virtually ban transracial adoption. Various arguments are extended to support the policies, but political expediency is the most recurrent reason. Racial categorization of people affects social relations and generates social tension. Research findings show the existence of few transracial adoption in both the countries.
