North American transnational youth gangs: Breaking the chain of violence
Article Abstract:
Youth gangs are currently a challenge to US national defenses because of their growing membership and globalization, gangs have become a public security threat that must be addressed. Policymakers at the national and local levels should work together to identify factors that destabilize neighborhoods, to deny time and space for gang activities and to improve coordination among various law enforcement agencies.

Article Abstract:
Project RISE's brief history available to scholars and policymakers concerned with labor racketeering, and organized crime control is presented. The demise of Project RISE highlights the magnitude of the initial challenge to change fundamentally a massive union with a long history of organized crime infiltration and racketeering.
