The mentality of the Russian officer: Challenges of the twenty-first century
Article Abstract:
The mentality of the officer corps of Russia is examined as a system-forming factor of the mode of thinking and spiritual outlook of Russian officers, serving to form the foundation of their group consciousness, behavior, activity, and interaction. It is manifested most explicitly in the stereotypes of behavior and decision-making as it was fixed in moral and normative forms it takes on the character of soldierly rituals, traditions, and customs.

The family and social position of the military officer
Article Abstract:
The most prevalent type of family among officer personnel is the nuclear type, which, as a rule, does not include more than two children. The size of households of senior officers and warrant officers has held steady due to the fact that the way of life among these categories, especially in the families of junior officers, is characterized by priority that is given to family values and traditions.
