Article Abstract:
A systematic research synthesis of empirical studies is conducted in an effort to identify and classify therapeutic interventions that recognize the unique experiences of foster children. A total of 18 studies were reviewed in terms of their aims, outcomes, and methodological strengths and weaknesses, but interventions recognizing the unique experience of foster children and foster family dynamics were found to be lacking.
