Urban political ecology
Article Abstract:
The different places of origin of urban political ecology are discussed using references of various individual studies and some theoretical interventions. It is argued that most of the people interested in urban political ecology would agree that the idea of liberation must be viewed in the context of modern cities that one lives in.

Do voting technologies discriminate across the urban hierarchy? Evidence from two presidential elections
Article Abstract:
Data from the presidential elections of 2000 and 2004 was used to analyze the residual ballot rates for estimated ethnic groups of voters at different tiers of the urban hierarchy. No evidence was found to substantiate claims that voting technologies discriminate by ethnic group or size of city.

An evaluation of generation and region as urban categories
Article Abstract:
Although Gober's definition for categorizing the urban areas into Frostbelt/Sunbelt regions is still valid, other contemporary socioeconomic variables and technological and cultural patters of the contemporary generations play a significant role in the categorization of urban regions.
